Bern, Switzerland: The Most Instagrammed City in Winter

Apart from being the capital of Switzerland, Bern is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s characterized by its main attractions: the Zytglogge (Clock Tower), the Käfigturm (Prison Tower), the Renaissance-time fountains, and the Bern Minster Cathedral among plenty others. During winter, the city is a favored skiing spot, and both tourists and locals flock to its famed Christmas Market for holiday shopping.

The Schwarzsee mountain lake is likewise a favorite winter destination when the waters completely freeze over, welcoming anyone to freely skate against a stunning backdrop of snowcapped mountains.
