Step into the Void is a glass room complete with a glass floor perched on the top of the 12,605-foot Chamonix peak. It’s called the ‘tallest attraction in Europe’ and rightly so! The glass box juts out to thin air at the vertigo-inducing height of 3,300 feet, but if you get over the fear, you will be greatly rewarded.

Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain can be seen to the south of the installation as well as most of the mountains of Western Europe. And don’t worry, you won’t literally be stepping into a void, the walls, floor, and ceiling are made up of 2-inch thick glass that can withstand up to 220kph winds.

Kyzia spends most of her time capturing the world around her through photos, paragraphs, and playlists. She is constantly on the hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, and a great paperback thriller to pair with it.
