Mt. Maculot’s ‘Rockies’ trail is one of the best day trip destinations to experience. It’s one heck of a climb (beginner-friendly) that will reward you with one of the most stunning views of Taal Lake. Just like its name, Rockies, you will get to see a lot of rocks on this trail, it sounds so ordinary but boulder climbing is actually great!
During your climb you can drop by a store that the locals fondly call ‘7-11’ because it’s where all the hikers come for a meal.
How to prepare: As the trail is mostly ascent and sometimes even requires the assistance of ropes, train your endurance and stamina.
