Where to Spot Stunning Hill Formations Around the Philippines

There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometers (20 sq mi). The hills are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name.

Cebu

Bohol is not the only place that offers stunning hills in the Visayas region though. Cebu has gained fame among travel junkies for the stunning scenery visible from certain peaks. Both Osmeña Peak and Casino Peak offer amazing views of the jagged peaks of Mantalongon Range bordering the towns of Badian and Dalaguete. Getting to the main summit of Osmeña Peak is an easy 15 to 20 minute hike from the jump-off point reachable by habal-habal.
