Ueno Park is known for its many museums including the Tokyo National Museum and the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. It is also home to Ueno Zoo, Japan’s first zoological garden. Although these attractions have entrance fees, a walk through Ueno Park itself is free. Visit during spring where the park is one of Tokyo’s lively cherry blossom spots sporting over a thousand cherry blossom trees.
