The square, flanked by government buildings, has statues of Kublai Khan and Genghis Khan, two of the most famous rulers of the Mongol Empire. The area is a nice place to take a leisurely stroll in after exploring the other attractions within and outside the city. The square was part of many significant historical moments of the country such as the Democratic Revolution of 1990, and military parades. It is still a gathering place for cultural and state events.
