5 Beachy Escapes for Long Weekends

This could be you on a long weekend.

Some 15 minutes away from the town proper of Romblon is Bonbon Beach – an outlying piece of paradise that boasts powdery white sand, crystal clear water, and a picturesque sand bar that connects the beach to the Bangug Islet. During low tide, the sand bar is dramatically exposed; its pristine white beauty a perfect contrast to the aqua blue sea. If you are up for a walk, you can easily reach the islet by foot.

As of writing time, this private property doesn’t have a resort nor do they permit overnight camping. However, taking a day trip in this dazzling destination is a definite must – even if it’s just for postcard-perfect pictures or a refreshing dip.
