The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. But for travelers looking for destinations to brighten up their days, there are many places around the world that take inspiration from rainbows. In honor of Pride month, we round up a few gorgeous rainbow-themed destinations you can travel to around the world.

Rainbow Village, Taiwan

The Rainbow Village has risen to fame and become a quick tourist favorite in Taiwan. This village in Taichung was scheduled to be demolished until one of its residents – a former soldier turned street artist – stepped in to beautify the place. After picking up his paintbrush and letting his imagination run wild, Mr. Huang aka “Grandpa Rainbow” managed to save his home through art. The end result is a vibrant village with brightly-painted structures, floors, houses, schools and alleyways, that many people will be able to enjoy for years to come.
