Looking for an eye-catching escapade with the barkada? Here are a few fun and colorful destinations filled with sunshine and rainbows around the country that seem to have been designed specifically with the social-media savvy millennial market in mind.
Aqua Planet

Featuring a rainbow slide, wave pool, hurricane slides, lazy river and much more, Aqua Planet, a 10-hectare water park located in Clark Freeport in Pampanga, is one colorful and fun destination for the barkada or whole family. Aqua Planet features 38 exhilarating rides and attractions for kids and kids at heart. This massive water park is just a couple of hours drive from Metro Manila, highly accessible via the North Luzon Expressway and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, making it an easy day trip for groups and families.
Inflatable Island

Inflatable Island is the biggest floating playground in Asia. At over 4,200 sqm, this fun water-based attraction is roughly the size of 8 basketball courts combined. The playground features inflatables slides, towers, bridges, human launchers, swings and much more.
Lounge about in the Sunflower Lounge or Pink / Yellow Bali-inspired lounge with bean bags and colorful umbrellas. A rainbow walk leads to a smaller playground for kids. Their latest attraction, dubbed “UnicornZilla” is touted to be the biggest Unicorn in the world. It’s so massive, it can fit up to 50 pax standing.

For those based in Cebu, The Happy Beach offers a “Pastel Instagrammable Paradise.” The home of Inflatable Island in Cebu describes itself as the “Millennials’ Summer Capital.” Featuring a Pink Pool, Happy Jungle Lounge, Pink Bali lounge, Floating zoo of flamingo and unicorn floaters and more, just looking at photos of the saccharine spot already gives you a sugar rush. Predictably, the trendy spot has proven to be quite popular on Instagram.

The Dessert Museum, an interactive art exhibit with mouthwatering rooms designed around different dessert themes, is one of the offbeat museums popular with barkadas because of their large, colorful sculptures of dessert items. The complex in S Maison below Conrad Hotel Manila, features 12,000 square feet of your sugar-filled dreams.
