Despite the seemingly French-inspired name, Cafe Voi La is all about Asian fusion, as seen in their menu and their Asian-style interiors. The cafe is actually named after the Vietnamese word, “boi la,” or “to cook with leaves.” According to the cafe’s menu, the owner Ica Manalo Sebastian sources the required unique ingredients in their dishes from her travels herself. A lot of the souvenirs and furniture in the cafe are from her personal collection as well.
