Though we’ve already entered the rainy season, a beach getaway will always be a good idea. If you’re looking for a new beach resort to explore where you can have your worries float away for a few days, the three-hour drive will be worth it when you see Unisan Sands Beach Resort.
Unisan Sands Beach Resort
Known as “Mag-Asawang Bato” to locals, Unisan Sands is a white sand beach resort that boasts a kilometer of uninhabited shoreline and a picturesque infinity pool. With tall coconut trees and a pristine beach upfront, the simple resort has charms that would make your stay memorable and relaxing.
There’s little to no phone signal at Unisan. If you’re looking for a weekend trip away from the noise of social media and phone notifications, this resort will give you the off-the-grid experience where you’ll only focus on appreciating the beauty nature has to offer. The long stretch of beach is yours to explore, including the rock formations at the end of the shoreline perfect for picture-taking.
One of the most popular spots at the resort is their infinity pool by the restaurant. Color-changing lights light up at night too, adding to its ~chill vibes~.
Whether it’s by the beach or on the green grass, it’s not difficult to find a spot at the resort where you can just chill the whole day. So don’t forget to bring an instrument, board games, or a good book to read!
Bamboo cottages are available by the beach for day tours. Rent starts at P1000 and it’s good for 15 guests already. But if you’re planning on staying overnight, Unisan has various fully air-conditioned cottages, just like the Caigdal.
The Caigdal (P4950) is a beachfront cottage ideal for four. It has a queen bed, extra mattresses, en suite bathroom, refrigerator, and a smart TV. All their rooms are just as stylish, and you can enjoy a sea or garden view.

Travel documents to prepare
Lockdown restrictions may have eased and made local travel easier, but Unisan Sands highlights the importance of adhering to health and safety protocols set by their local LGU. Before you schedule a drive to Quezon and book a reservation for an overnight stay, ensure to prepare two (2) copies of a Health Certificate issued within 72 hours before arrival by a doctor or a rural/municipal health unit.
In the absence of a Health Certificate, guests may bring a negative antigen/rapid test result taken within 72 hours, a negative RT-PCR test result taken within the last month, or a vaccination card. Guests who have only taken their first dose of vaccine will be accepted too.
Unisan Beach Resort is located in Brgy. Maputat, Unisan, Quezon.
