Summertime may have left already but it’s not too late to have that excuse to go on a short out-of-town trip and indulge in a well-deserved getaway. Paired with its array of beloved restaurants and cafes, Pampanga is becoming an ideal destination for getaways near the metro. Planning to head there soon? Check out this tropical haven in Angeles:
Bale Salangi
Whether it’s for a get-together or a milestone celebration, we’ve seen that Pinoys now prefer exclusive stays, especially with the ongoing pandemic. That’s what makes Bale Salangi the ideal venue the next time you visit Pampanga: it offers both a picturesque and exclusive stay. The three-floor house takes inspiration from the bahay kubo and promotes locally sourced and manufactured furniture. You’ll see it around the house, such as the macrame wall decorations in the bedrooms; it’s made from Inabel textile made by local weavers.
Just looking at its façade, you’re in for a tropical getaway. Lush green plants surround the property, making you feel like you’re in a little jungle. In front of the house are a swimming pool and an artificial waterfall that looks inviting AF. Scrap getting nested once you arrive; you’d want to take a dip in the pool instead.
Cross ventilation is key in achieving a tropical and passive house, as shared by Bale Sangali on a post. This is why you’ll see slatted bamboo incorporated into its walls. It isn’t just for the aesthetics – it helps transform the space into a breathing house. Jalousie windows are also utilized around the house, which helps improve its natural ventilation.
Located on the ground floor are Bale Salangi’s common areas: the dining area, kitchen, and living area.
The first of the three bedrooms at Bale Salangi is also found on the ground floor. It also leads directly to the pool area.
Upper floors
You’ll find the remaining bedrooms on the second floor. One has a spacious bed and access to the balcony. Rooms at the house also have an en suite.
The third room is perfect for groups and kids – they’ll be sleeping in bunk beds! The room also has a sun deck with a view of the pool, and you can also hear the relaxing sounds of the waterfall.
Bale Salangi doesn’t skimp on the fun – the third floor is dedicated to entertainment. You’ll find a mini pool table, an area for board games, and a nook for taking naps. It also makes the perfect area for late-night drinking!
Rates start at P14,000 per night for weekday stays. Bale Salangi is located along Fil-Am Highway, Timog Park, Angeles City, Pampanga.
