BOOKMARK: Extraordinary Attorney Woo Filming Locations You Can Visit IRL

We’re just halfway through the show and it seems that the ongoing K-Drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo is able to woo audiences globally. In fact, the drama was Netflix’s most-viewed non-English show globally from July 11 to 17! It’s also setting new highs in South Korea, with an average rating of 15.780% on July 27, according to Nielsen Korea. Everyone just can’t get enough of this healing drama! Now that South Korea is open to tourists again, don’t forget to include these filming locations you can visit IRL:

Kajaguruma

Location: 61 Sinpung-ro 23beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do

Woo Young Woo cannot begin her days without having a gimbap freshly made by her dad in his restaurant. IRL, this quaint neighborhood restaurant offers Japanese cuisine. If you wish to explore the area as well, a vintage store is also located in the same building.

Centerfield

Location: 237 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

Planning to visit Hanbada Law Firm and try to waltz your way in and out of the building through the revolving doors? While you may not be able to see Atty. Woo lingering in the lobby, you can have the same feels by snapping photos and recreating the waltz-like dance while humming to the tune Lee Joon-oh taught the attorney. Take note that this is a real office building, so be mindful if you’re visiting on a work day.

P.S. The building also houses a luxury hotel, Josun Palace Hotel, which you might want to check out if you want to treat yourself to a fancy stay.

Soso Korean Pub

Location: 8-10 Gangseong-ro 232beon-gil, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-s, Gyeonggido

We can’t deny the fact that Woo Young Woo has charming friends, Dong Geu Rami and Kim Min Shik, who she often meets at IRL Soso Korean Pub. The pub opened in 2020 and has also been featured in another drama, Yumi’s Cells (2021).

Hackberry tree

Location: Dongbu Village, Bukbu-ri, Daesan-myeon, Uichang-gu, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do

Thanks to Extraordinary Attorney Woo, a new tourist destination in South Korea! It may just be a hackberry tree, but its location holds some key scenes in the drama. This includes a conversation between Atty. Woo and Taesan Law Firm CEO, Tae Su Mi. The tree is located in a village near Busan with around 70 residents, according to AllKpop. If you’re visiting Busan, don’t forget to make the side trip, buy sikhye (sweet rice drink), and enjoy the breeze from the hill, just like the cast did.

Janghwari Nakjo Village

Location: Ganghwa, Incheon

Remember the location Dong Geu Rami suggested in Episode 4? If you wish to recreate the dreamy sunset scene as Atty. Woo and Lee Jun Ho, head to Ganghwa, Incheon and stay at Janghwari Nakjo Village. The destination has various stays to choose from and offers the best sunset views.

Cafe OnTheDesk

Location: 3 Seohyeon-ro 237beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do

As seen in Episode 9, Cafe OnTheDesk is where the mothers of the “victims” of the Children’s Liberation Army met with the lawyers of Hanbada. The cafe features modern interiors in an idyllic setting – you might want to visit if you’re going cafe hopping during your trip. They also offer outdoor seats, which are perfect for hot days!

Dangsan Railway Bridge

Getting there: Hapjeong Station, Seoul Subway Line 2 and 6, Exit 7

If you want to take the same way as Atty. Woo when she goes to work, try going to Hapjeong Station to take the Seoul Subway Line 2, which passes the Dangsan Railway Bridge. You may not have the same floating whales in the background, though. IRL, the bridge crosses Han River and connects two neighborhoods: Hapjeong and Dangsan.

Deoksugung Palace Stonewall Walkway

Location: 5-10 Jeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul

You might recognize this walkway instantly because it’s just been in too many dramas: Goblin (2016), Run On (2021), and My Liberation Notes (2022), to name a few. But this might be one of the most unforgettable locations in the drama yet, as we saw in the latest episode (Ep. 10) Atty. Woo shares about its history and how couples who walk here break up.

But it seems the ship will keep on sailing, anyway. We’re looking forward to the next episodes!
