Museum of Contemporary Art and Design
Location: G/F De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde Design and Arts Campus, Dominga St., Malate, Manila

Nestled inside the DLS-CSB Campus in Manila, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design is a non-profit and non-collecting institution. It has learning programs, contemporary art exhibitions, and art and cultural-inspired undertakings that showcase the possibilities of new media and technology. The museum offers free admission, which is a reflection of its vision of “free access for all”.
Operating hours: Open on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 AM to 6 PM and 10 AM to 2 PM on Sundays
Metropolitan Museum of Manila
Location: MK Tan Centre, 30th Street, Bonifacio Global City

If you’re planning to meet friends around BGC, you can schedule a cafe-hopping date and squeeze in some museum time at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila. It finally reopened after a two-year hiatus and is now continuing as an emerging cultural hub. Admission is still free at the museum, but walk-ins are not allowed yet as it’s still in progress. If you’re visiting, you have to pre-register at least a day before our visit. Find more information here.
Operating hours: Tuesdays to Fridays from 11 AM to 5 PM; 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays

Ronac ART Center
Location: 424 Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills North, Quezon City

You’ve probably already seen the aesthetic and picturesque spiral staircase around social media – if you’re going here for a fun shoot, visit Ronac ART Center as well. Located on the ground floor of the building, this free-admission gallery is a hub for contemporary art and retail. There’s also a cafe in the building, in case you get hungry and want a quick snack.
Pinto Art Museum
Location: Grand Heights Subdivision, Antipolo

If you’re looking for museums near the metro, Pinto Art Museum is one of the best places to visit. You might have already seen this picturesque place on social media, as the venue alone is insta-worthy with its white walls and surrounding gardens. As its name suggests, the museum is the door to contemporary and emerging local art. When you feel like taking a break from viewing art, head to the museum’s in-house restaurant, Cafe Rizal.
The entrance fee is PHP 250 for adults.
Operating hours: Open on Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Museo de San Agustin/San Agustin Museum
Location: General Luna St., Intramuros, Manila
There are several museums around Intramuros, one of which is the Museo de San Agustin, which is adjacent to the centuries-old San Agustin Church. The museum houses a collection of religious artworks and artifacts. A visit to the museum is a very insightful way to learn about Catholicism in the Philippines.
Operating hours: Open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM.
The regular rate is PHP 200 per person.
Yuchengco Museum
Location: RCBC Plaza, Corner Ayala Avenue and Senator Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati

Finding your way to Yuchengco Museum wouldn’t be that difficult as this museum is nestled right in the heart of Makati’s CBD. The museum opened to the public in 2005 and now showcases the personal art collection of Ambassador Alfonso T. Yuchengco.
Operating hours: Mondays to Saturdays, from 10 AM to 6 PM
The ticket is at PHP 200 for adults.
The Drawing Room Manila
Location: Ground Floor, Building C, Karravin Plaza, 2316 Chino Roces Extension, Barangay Magallanes, Makati

If you plan on going on a solo date, The Alley at Karrivin in Makati will be your next favorite hidden gem. This relaxed space houses a furniture store, restaurants, cafes, clothing shops, cafes, and an art gallery, The Drawing Room Manila. Established in 1998, this gallery is the hub for unique artworks by contemporary Filipino artists.
