La Union is finally local tourists from Luzon again — including those coming from the NCR Plus bubble. However, arranging your trip to Luzon’s beach paradise could still be troublesome as the local government only allows non-residents to visit identified tourist spots while observing strict health protocols.
Fortunately, this beachfront sanctuary just knows what to do — offering all the activities you want to enjoy during your ideal vacation while making sure that they prioritize your health and safety throughout your trip.
Aureo La Union
This first-class luxury resort is located in the quiet, unsullied part of San Fernando, the province’s capital. It boasts its relaxing beach waves and dreamy sunset views over the West Philippine Sea — the best experience for new normal travelers who had long been stuck in the congested, noisy city throughout the pandemic.
Adventure seekers would definitely love to try some of Aureo’s water sport activities including jet skiing, kayaking, water biking, paddle boarding, and even snorkeling. You can also choose to lie in the beach’s fine sand while you read a book or drink a cocktail on a breezy afternoon at its Coast Bar and Restaurant.
Tropical-themed amenities
You can guiltlessly enjoy a staycation in one of its luxe tropical haven-themed hotel rooms. This includes a personal living room area, bathtub, and a spacious veranda.
Aureo gives you another reason to stay inside in one of its executive suites. It provides direct access to its Loop Pool where you can swim around the top-of-the-line facilities of the resort.
At night, you can enjoy fine dining in the resort’s Sea + Salt. This restaurant offers continental offerings and a buffet that serves up the delicacies of the region, all carefully created by the restaurant’s own master chefs. You can also request a surprise exclusive dinner set-up for your special someone to celebrate your anniversary or just because.
Before leaving paradise, Aureo La Union makes sure you bring home your sweet memories from the resorts with their souvenirs.
How to get there
If you’re driving, from TPLEX, stay on the right side going to La Union provincial road until you reach Rosario (passing Agoo and Bauang). Turn left to Monumento going to the Bureau of Immigration, then turn left again going to San Francisco.
But if you’re commuting, take any bus going to San Fernando, La Union then alight at Barangay San Fernando. Ride a tricycle going to the Aureo Resort.
A stay at Aureo La Union starts at Php 7,000 a night for two persons. This is inclusive of breakfast for the next day. For bookings and other concerns, you may visit the resort’s official website.
