The very first thing I noticed in Bali is the fact that it does not hold back on the elaborate. On the roof of a silver factory in Celuk Village, the sculpture of muses and heads exude an infectious radiance, especially on a sunny day. Every muscle, smile line, wrinkle, and curl painfully hand-sculpted, and the details create an overall dynamic masterpiece. The sculpture almost feels alive.
