Negros Occidental is the home of many destinations that both local and international tourists can’t get enough of. You can revisit the past in Dumaguete‘s heritage sites, enjoy multiple servings of batchoy and chicken inasal in Bacolod, or get a much-needed tan at Lakawon Island. But if you want to skip the touristy activities or simply want to unwind on the last days of your vacation, check out this resort that would make you appreciate the beauty of nature.
Baluarte Rest and Relaxation
Baluarte Rest and Relaxation is a quiet retreat nestled in the foothills of Mount Marapara. Located in the municipality of Murcia, this haven in the forest is perfect for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Prepare to go completely offline here! There’s no WiFi – don’t worry about your FOMO and get on that much-needed social media detox.
This hidden paradise is only 40 minutes away from Bacolod. You don’t even have to go international as you’ll be greeted by two countries here at once. White Bali-inspired cabins are surrounded by lush greenery that would make you feel like you’re in Kyoto’s bamboo forests.
It’s even more beautiful in the mornings as fog seeps through the canopy of trees. Bring your favorite book, drink a hot cup of their native Murcia coffee, and enjoy the relaxing hums of nature.
