STUDY: Quezon City Hailed as Top Asian Destination for Architecture Lovers

There’s no better destination for appreciating architecture in Asia than Quezon City, Philippines, according to one recent study. The city is also ranked as the second-best destination for architecture lovers in the world.

QC is the top destination in Asia for architecture lovers

Also known as the largest city in Metro Manila in terms of land area, Quezon City is hailed as the top destination in Asia for architecture lovers based on a recent study by the UK-based website Buildworld.

According to Buildworld, it identified the top 10 destinations in every country according to the country’s TripAdvisor page and applied the following filters: Architectural buildings, Castles, Churches and Cathedrals, Sacred and Religious Sights, Ancient Ruins, and Bridges.

“Next, we calculated the percentage of architectural sites in each city that have a 4.5- or 5-star rating and ranked the cities according to this metric,” shared Buildworld. The study found that 90.00% of the buildings in the city have a rating of 4.5 stars or higher.

The top sites in Quezon City include the Quezon Heritage House, Parish of the Holy Sacrifice, and Quezon Memorial Circle.

Second-best destination in the world for architecture lovers

Quezon City, Philippines shares the second spot in the global rankings with Manchester, United Kingdom with a 90.00% 4.5+ Star Architectural Building Reviews.

Iasi in Romania took the top spot with a 92.3% ranking.
