At some point during your trip, you might feel the urge to paint the scenes that unfold before you; preserve the view and memory that your camera alone couldn’t quite capture. This is when a pocket watercolor palette and water brush will come in handy. If you don’t have a portable watercolor palette, it’s not hard to make one: fill an empty mint tin with paint pans or grab some tube watercolors and squeeze your choice of hues into the compartments of a small pill box if you don’t have empty paint pans.
