No matter how settled we are at home, nearly two years of seeing and staying in the same environment will make you want to catch a break. While planned vacations have become laborious due to the changing travel restrictions and requirements, staycations have been everyone’s definition of catching a quick breather. Just a few hours from the metro is Casa Albertos, which can be your family’s next home away from home.

Painted all white and surrounded by tall pine trees in its front yard, Casa Albertos is a family home turned into a staycation for families or a group of friends. The house looks like a typical Filipino home, with a terrace that will welcome you as you enter its premises. It’s easy to feel like you just found another home away from home, but it’s better inside.

The cozy home is designed for families who want to have fun and feel relaxed; the ground floor is a treat already. It has one of the three rooms in the house: an open space featuring a queen-sized bed and single mattress, which also doubles as a mini-theater with its 70-inch Smart TV and Netflix.

A pool table is also located on the ground floor, as well as the fully equipped kitchen. All you have to bring are your tableware, ingredients, and fave recipes.

The second floor has the other two rooms equipped with bunk beds and a common area for playing various board and card games. There’s also an air hockey machine – kids wouldn’t run out of things to do.

Those who love singing their hearts out would love the KTV room. Screaming to your favorite songs is one of the best stress relievers!

Outdoor amenities

While there are plenty of activities to do indoors, Casa Albertos has a spacious backyard that will let you appreciate the cool weather. There’s a portable pool for hot days and at night, turn on the fairy lights and huddle around the bonfire.

They have an outdoor setup: a bonfire for staying warm or cooking BBQ, foldable chairs, and even tents if you want to try camping.

Casa Albertos is also just a 20-minute drive from Tagaytay City. After your stay, you might want to insert a side trip to the cool city for some snacks and coffee before heading home.

• P12,500 for a maximum of 13 pax
• P15,500 for a maximum of 16 pax
• P18,00 for a maximum of 19 pax
