Juan For Fun 2019 Coaches
The Juan For Fun 2019 teams will be mentored by travel writer Jude Bacalso, TV host and social media personality Joyce Pring, and Becoming Filipino’s Kyle “Kulas” Jennermann, along with first-time coach, celebrity and vlogger Mikael Daez.
During the send-off party for the teams at the new Dusit Thani in Mactan, Cebu last August 1, the Juan For Fun mentors took the stage to share practical tips and advice on making the most out of the trip. Travel personality Joyce shared about her experiences on learning through travel; while resident traveler Kulas lent some insights on island conservation and travel foodie enthusiast Mikael gave some tips on trying new cuisines in new destinations. Veteran writer Jude talked about preserving Filipino heritage, inviting onstage Cebu’s culinary stars Florencio “Entoy” Escabas, Leslie Enjambre, Rubilyn Diko Manayon, and Ian Secong, who were all featured in Street Food, a Netflix mini series from the creators of Chef’s Table.
Now, the Juan For Fun teams are embarking on their week-long journey across the Philippines to explore new destinations, expand their knowledge on culture and history, and delve into insightful experiences. And when they come back to their hometowns, they will surely carry with them precious new memories and deeper understanding of fellow Filipinos and our country.
