“We don’t apologize for not giving plastic straws or plastic package for takeaways and our customers love the idea. We use bamboo straws and give them away afterwards. Every Saturday, we have beach clean-up with the local kids of Nagtabon and then we teach them surfing for free,” he adds.

If you’re heading to Palawan, be sure to look out for this cool spot. Surf Surf Cafe also invites tourists to join them picking up plastic trash and cigarette butts at the beach, every Saturday from 9-10am. They also offer surf lessons and surfboard rentals along with overnight stay in a simple beach hut in Nagtabon Beach.
