Tagged as “The City of Cherry Blossoms” in China, Qingdao is said to be a place where cherry blossoms are most densely planted in the whole of China, with a majority of the 20,000 trees concentrated in Zhongshan Park. Just like other cherry blossom destinations, Qingdao has its own cherry blossom festival, which is held from mid-April to early May. The festival has been observed by the city for over 90 years and doubles as an opportunity for citizens to showcase various handmade products and food items.
