Huangshan or also known as the Yellow Mountains; is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. It gets its yellow hue when the sun casts its light on it during different times of the day.

The best time to view the valleys, rock formations and mountains is at sunrise and sunset, so prepare to spend the night in one of the hotels or bring a tent with you to cut costs. Your gateway to Huangshan is Shanghai, once in the city; you can either take an overnight or bullet train to get to town.
