Travel to South Korea: You Can Now Apply for a Tourist Visa as a Group
Here's another way to make the Korea travel dreams happen.
by Ina Louise Manto | June 27, 2023
Whether you’re planning to visit South Korea for a concert or a tour, you probably already know that visa applications for tourists can be challenging due to the highly in-demand appointment slots. While there are visa-free ways to enter Korea through Gangwon Province, Jeju Island, and Jeollanam-do, Pinoy tourists usually prefer to start their tours around Seoul, which requires an approved visa. Fortunately, a new alternative to securing a visa application slot has just opened: beginning June 27, 2023, Pinoys may apply as a group. Know more about it here:
Application for e-Group Visa for Regular Tourists
In a Facebook post, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines shared that from June 27, 2023, the Ministry of Justice in Korea will accept applications for e-Group Visas for regular tourists.
How does it work?
The e-Group Visa may be applied through credited travel agencies for groups of at least 3 members. This may be in the forms of an educational tour group, a company incentive tour group, or a regular tour group entering and exiting with the same vessel, flight, or other same scheduled means of transportation.
The process is online, through the Korea Visa Portal.
