Buckle up for safety.

Since you are driving through the streets of Japan, you are required to have either a Japanese driver’s license or an International Driving Permit (IDP) which means only those of legal age can partake in this activity. You can check how to apply for a Philippine IDP here. (Note: IDPs based on the 1968 Vienna Convention are NOT valid)
You can book tours around Tokyo, Osaka, and even Mount Fuji to name a few through a number of travel companies like Voyagin, Viator, and Klook for discounted prices. And it already comes with free costume rental and other perks that vary among booking sites! Here are the best ones we’ve seen being offered online:
- Akihabara – go around otaku paradise and take in all the thrills that Akihabara has to offer (via Klook)
- Asakusa – explore the Asakusa area, Tokyo Skytree, and the National Ueno Park (via Voyagin)
- Tokyo Bay Area – cruise along the Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba, the Tokyo Tower, Roppongi, and Shibuya Crossing (via Viator)
- Fuji – visit the stunning Lake Kawaguchiko and see great views of Mt. Fuji (via KK Day)
- Osaka – visit famous sightseeing spots like Namba, Dotonbori, and Osaka Tower (via Voyagin)
- Kyoto – tour all over Kyoto and see the Fushimi Inari Shrine along with other beautiful sightseeing spots (via Viator)
