Another famous location is the bookshop. During the film’s opening scene, Grant’s character can be seen walking towards his shop, all the while giving us a little tour of Notting Hill. It is the same bookshop where his meet-cute with A-list star Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) happened. IRL, the bookstore was never a bookstore; instead it was an antique arcade then a furniture store. The real bookstore that inspired the movie was located just around the corner and was also called The Travel Bookshop.
