If the pandemic has you bummed out from being restricted from traveling to other parts of the Philippines, here’s some good news. Tourist bubbles have begun to pop up all over the place, so it’s likely that there are some great gems close to home. For instance, There’s a cafe in Cebu that’s famous for it’s 10,000 roses (aptly called 10000 Roses Café & More), but you don’t have to fly all the way to Cebu to see that floral spectacle. Laguna has its own take on the light-up garden: Janna’s Place.
Janna’s Place: A Place for Everyone
This resto-bar in Lumban, Laguna isn’t just worth visiting for its garden of 5,000 LED roses. The best thing about this resto-bar-cafe-events venue, aside from its floral spectacle, is it can be anything you want it to be.
Janna’s Place strays away from labels and decided to offer just about everything. Coffee? Check. Beers and bar drinks with matching live music? Check. Delectable comfort food? Check. Whatever you’re in the mood for, you can stop by at this place and treat yourself, which is a great idea if you’ve been out on the road for hours traveling around Calabarzon.
Though it’s mostly known for its Cebu-inspired field of 5,000 LED roses, Janna’s Place also boasts a gig-worthy venue with its unique building structure. (Although obviously, it hasn’t hosted a gig like this in a while due to the pandemic.) It’s got a deck that’s perfect for admiring the panoramic countryside views, which is decorated with small tables and beanbags.
At night, diners can enjoy the romantic atmosphere thanks to the vintage lighting and acoustic music from guest cover bands. Barkadas and couples will appreciate the many photo op locations, whether in the restaurant or in the garden.
If you’re looking for more privacy with your friends and family, they have two karaoke rooms as well. Both are equipped with big comfy sofas and chairs, plus a flat-screen LED TV and karaoke machine. Furthermore, you can also experience the romantic 5,000 LED Roses for just P150! The entrance fee is consumable or convertible to any drinks or food from their menu.
