Escaping the city doesn’t have to be costly, especially when your definition of a healing trip involves going back to basics. Having a getaway in nature is one way to do it, and you don’t have to go on a long drive to have a simple camping experience. Nestled just in Tanay, Rizal, Kaingin Campsite offers a fun experience for families and barkadas without breaking the bank or exerting too much effort.
Kaingin Campsite
Experienced camper or not, Kaingin Campsite’s idyllic setting will give you the nature getaway you’re longing for. There’s still a strong phone signal on the campsite but with a view like this, you’d rather look out on the stretch of greenery and breathe in the fresh air rather than stay boxed in the four corners of your screen.
But you’d want to snap photos here too, and there are plenty of corners where you can take them. There are different photo spots around Kaingin – Pinoys just can’t get enough of taking cute photos!
Aside from the camping experience and picture-taking, the entrance fee you’ll pay at Kaingin is also inclusive of pool use. Yup, the campsite has a swimming pool as well, which offers the same mountain view.
There’s no electricity at the campsite; the staff advises bringing your own power bank, flashlight, and/or lamp.
How much will it cost you?
You’ll save the most when you already have a tent when you visit Kaingin. Their overnight entrance fee is just P250 per head, plus a P50 tent pitching fee. The entrance fee is also inclusive of pool use.
The campsite is open for day tours too, in case you just want a quick breather but still need to get things done in the evening. Sometimes, all you need is a quick drive to someplace peaceful anyway! For their day tours, you only need to pay P150 per head.
But don’t worry if you don’t have a tent. Waterproof tents are up for rent starting at P500 for two pax. A regular tent costs P400.
If you wish to go for the full campsite experience, you can set up a bonfire for P200.
