Kalanggaman Island: A Not-So-Secret Paradise in Leyte
Escape to the sea.
by Tynne De Leon | November 04, 2017
It was afternoon when our boat docked on the island. There was nothing special about it at first: a number of cottages, hammocks hanging from trees and people lounging about welcomed us, a regular scene in the other islands I’ve seen. The first thought I had when I set foot on its sandy shores is to see its famous sandbar, only to find out that it won’t appear until 2 p.m. because the tide was still high.
