Kalanggaman Island: A Not-So-Secret Paradise in Leyte
Escape to the sea.

The real magic happened when the clock struck two. The beautiful strip of sand was unveiled before our eyes. The creamy white sandbar is a 15-minute walk, and it’s filled with sticks and stones that won’t (thankfully) break your bones, but it’s advisable to wear slippers. There’s a sense of excitement while trudging through this ephemeral stretch of land, and it gives you the best view of the complementing colors of the sky and the sea — the kind sight that takes your breath away. If you’re going to stay overnight, the sunrise and sunset are too magical to miss.
