Missing the sun, sea, and sand? With its proximity to the Metro and numerous resorts to choose from, Batangas is undoubtedly a favorite destination for a quick getaway. Resorts in the area easily get packed but you can still have a slice of paradise among the crowd, right at La Luz Beach Resort, one of the most beloved beach resorts in Laiya, Batangas.
La Luz Beach Resort
La Luz Beach Resort didn’t begin as a business. For more than three decades, the nook in Laiya’s famous shores served as a private vacation home for a family. It was only until a few years ago that they opened to the public and it has become a favorite spot that vacationers keep going back to.
Laiya’s beaches are usually packed with resorts and tourists, but La Luz will give you a slice of peace and relaxation away from the crowd. The property is located at the farthest end of the shoreline and its unmatched beauty is just mesmerizing: cream sands, crystal blue waters, and lush greenery.
The rock formations are perfect for posing for the ‘gram. Want to take Little Mermaid-like photos on the rocks? You can achieve that at La Luz.
The resort boasts Pinoy interiors, with wood accents made of bamboo found around the property. Even the cottages and chairs lined across the shore are made of bamboo and resemble the classic bahay kubo. They’re perfect for relaxing by the sea when it’s still too hot to bask in the sun, or watching the sunset with a cold cocktail in hand.
Accommodation
There are seven accommodations you can choose from at La Luz Beach Resort, with rates starting at Php 10,500 for a Premium Room for three persons. For bigger families, their Dormitory (Php 21, 730 per night) has eight double-deck beds and can accommodate up to 20 pax.
Room rates are inclusive of a packed or plated breakfast, sanitary kit, guest kit, and use of the resort’s facilities.
What you can do here
Staying at La Luz is made even more fun and memorable with their land and water activities. No wonder it’s become a favorite location for company team building sessions!
There are also fun land activities like bikes, board games, a bonfire area, and hiking to the nearby Naambon Falls and Mount Daguldol. But a beach trip isn’t complete without water activities. You can rent snorkeling equipment, tribords, kayaks, and jetskis; you could even go windsurfing and scuba diving. They also have thrilling rides like the banana boat, flying fish, and disco boat. Feeling fancy? You can rent a speed boat or go on a cruise on their private yacht.
How to get there
La Luz Beach Resort is located at Brgy. Hugom, Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. If you’re driving, just enter the name of the resort on Google Maps or Waze.
