One of the most coveted island destinations, Maldives is a beach lover’s paradise. Spend the day relaxing on the white-sand beaches. Dive down and see the idyllic underwater views. Surf the high waves at Kuda Haraa. Make sure to maximize the quality of your place of stay, since you’ll probably spend most of your time at your resort. But there are also some resort options for budget travelers. Here are some tips for you when you travel to Maldives.
Kyrgyzstan

One of the few landlocked countries in Asia, Kyrgyzstan boasts of its natural beauty with many untouched mountainscapes and well-cared pastures. Get a unique nomadic experience by staying in a traditional yurt. Watch a game of ulak tayrish, the country’s national game, which people say is quite similar to polo. Visit the Kyzyl-Oi, or the Red Valley, and see the hues of the slopes change. Hike up to the Son-Kul, one of the highest mountain lakes in the world.
Mongolia

A destination full of adventure, Mongolia is where travelers can get a unique nomadic experience while roaming the unspoiled natural landscapes. Try going the land route to experience the Trans-Mongolian Express. Don’t be afraid to go on road trips to see the amazing changes in landscapes. Take a picture with the Chingis Khan statue. Explore Sukhbaatar Square and the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, then drop by the local markets to find pasalubong.
Nepal

Famous for nearby mountain peaks, Nepal is every hiker’s dream with most of the Himalayas’ most accessible and most iconic hiking trails within the country. Especially to Mt. Everest. Check out Lumbini, literally “The Lovely,” or the place where Siddhartha Gautama was believed to be born.
Sri Lanka

Only four hours away via air, Taiwan is a favorite destination among Pinoys, especially millennials. There are so many things to explore around Taiwan despite being on a budget. Take photos as you walk around Jiufen Old Street. Visit the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. Go on a bubble tea tour around the city where it came from. Shop at the Shilin Night Market and buy pasalubong for your friends and family.
Tajikistan

Another landlocked country, Tajikistan, and its natural landscapes are perfect for the nomadic experience. Must-visits in this country are the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Tajik National Park, or the Mountains of the Pamirs, and the proto-urban site of Sarazm, which shows how human settlements developed in Central Asia.
