Librería Acqua Alta is the type of bookshop you’ll only ever find in Venice. When browsing for something to buy in this store, you’ll have to scavenge through the piles placed inside bathtubs, waterproof bins, and gondolas which, mind you, aren’t there for aesthetic purposes but rather will save the books in case it ever floods inside the store.

You’ll want to take a photo against the colorful stacks of books that adorn the walls, or by its sort of scenic “fire exit” — a door leading to a canal.
