More cafes near the metro are opening and we’re as excited as you! Whether it’s a brunch date with your best friends or you just want to go on a short drive to go on a solo date, these cafes near the metro are worth discovering:
Coze Coffee
Location: 1427 San Andres Street, San Andres Bukid, Sta. Ana, Manila

Coze Coffee is a newly-opened neighborhood cafe. The minimalist cafe has an intimate setting, which is perfect for meeting with friends or finding a quiet spot to get work done. They serve both coffee and non-coffee drinks, with Roasted Almon Mocha (P180) and Lotus Biscoff Affogato (P180) as some of their bestsellers. Another crowd fave is Matiyaga’to (P180), which is basically a matcha affogato topped with sliced almonds. Pair your drinks with their sweet and savory snacks, starting at P25 for a Coco Custaroon.
Can’t get enough of their drinks? They also have bottled coffee perfect for pasalubong or stocking up at home.

Better Beans Cafe

Better Beans Cafe began as a pop-up store catering to bikers, joggers, and groups of families and friends in Hinulugang Taktak. They eventually opened a real cafe in March 2022 where customers can gather in an indoor setting. Coffee-based drinks start at P70 for a hot or cold cup of Better Beans Signature. They also offer non-coffee drinks such as Matcha Tea Latte (P100) and Iced Fruit Teas starting at P120.
Operating hours: Open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Hello Cafe
Location: Lot 2F-8 Polivel Subdivision, Maitim Second East, Tagaytay

On the hunt for an alfresco cafe to enjoy Tagaytay’s cool weather? Head to Hello Cafe, which is located right in the heart of the city! Order your drinks (starts at P30 for an Espresso) at the minimalist indoor coffee bar and have them in the garden outside. There’s plenty of space for your pets to run around too. At night, the ambiance is made cozier with the fairy lights. Hello Cafe also serves pastries and savory snacks!

Takao Studios Coffee
Location: Cabins by Eco Hotel, Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, Silang Junction South, Tagaytay

If you’re driving to Tagaytay and in the mood for coffee, Japanese food, and a good view, Takao Studies Coffee is the place to be. The cafe is located on the rooftop of Cabins by Eco Hotel, so you’ll have a stunning view of Tagaytay’s ridges and the nearby lake. Have a cup of your usual coffee-based drink starting at P150 for an Americano and pair it with a hearty bowl of Ramen Tako at P450. Hit two birds with one stone when you visit SAME OLD Coffee in Cabuyao. This spot isn’t just a cafe but also a furniture deco store, and its interiors are eye candy. While you get inspired by their interior design, get your dose of caffeine and pair your drink with their pastry menu: croissants, pain au chocolat, and more.

Bloom Cafe

Nestled in San Pablo, Bloom Cafe began as an online store selling bottled coffee. They recently opened their garden cafe serving their well-beloved coffee drinks. More were added to their menus, such as frappes, refreshers, rice meals, sandwiches, and pasta. If you’re in the mood for some hot chocolate, there’s no need to drive to Baguio or Tagaytay; they also have chocolate baterol here.
