One Mountain a Month: A 2018 Bucket List
There's more to conquer.

Mt. Hapunang Banoi is one of the three well-known mountains in Rodriguez, Rizal alongside its siblings Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Binacayan. This mountain is the most challenging out of all three with hikers forced to climb rocks and with few flat trails. But if you’re physically fit enough, you may try climbing all three mountains in one day!
Banoi translates to ‘eagle’ in Tagalog, therefore the name of the whole mountain roughly translates to ‘where eagles come to dine.’ If the picturesque views of the Sierra Madre and Rizal horizon aren’t enough to tempt you, maybe the fact that you might even see an eagle at the summit will.
How to prepare: The trek is made challenging by limestone and rock formations you need to climb. As some of the rocks are sharp, bring gloves to protect your hands.
Tours: True North Travel and Tours, or a DIY hike
Other sights to see: Wawa Dam, Mt. Pamitinan, Mt. Binacayan
