While it looks intimidating to sculpt something on clay, the art of pottery is a relaxing activity worth trying. There’s no wonder why there has been a growing interest and appreciation for it; we all need to take a breather and experience a calming activity. Whether you’re looking into making pottery a new hobby or simply looking for a new experience where you can let your creativity go wild, find pottery classes in Metro Manila at these studios:

Pastel colors and cute characters – if these are your cup of tea, head over to South Korean ceramics studio, messwemade. Its owner visited the original studio in Seoul, became friends with the Korean owners, and decided to bring the experience back home. You can visit their studio in Alabang, or purchase a home kit (starts at P2,800) if you live far.

Color Me Mine

Color Me Mine won’t really teach you how to get started with pottery. Here, it’s the painting experience that you’ll be paying for, which is a fun activity for dates and even for kids. All you have to do is select your ceramic piece and go wild with your designs. Patience is key though – firing will take 5-10 days until it’s delivered to your home. Some ceramics you can paint include a basic tapered mug, wave bowl, and different figurines. Visit their kiosk on the 3rd Floor of Uptown Mall, Taguig, and let your imagination run wild.
