These days, even traveling within the country has its limitations. Fortunately, there are places within and outside the metro where we can go for a quick escape and even experience other cultures. If you’re planning a trip to the south, try adding this “living museum” in Cavite to your itinerary.
Shambala Silang
Nestled in the hills of Silang, Cavite, Shambala Silang is a sanctuary where you can experience nature, local art, and authentic Filipino cuisine all at once. This enchanting place pays homage to the Cordilleran culture. From terraces sculpted on a hill to Ifugao huts spread throughout the property, Shambala Silang will take you on a cultural trip up north minus the many, many hours of travel.
If you’re curious about the sanctuary’s name, “shambala” is a Sanskrit word that means “a place of peace, tranquility, or happiness”.
