Symphony Pipes are also a main feature of the establishment. These are long coils of copper tubes that carry beans from a giant copper cask (covered with 1,000 traditional Chinese seals) to the baristas. These pipes literally make music, thus the term symphony!
Tea lovers are welcome, as a Teavana Bar (which was entirely made from 3D-printed recycled materials) is present inside, with tea curators serving nitrogen-infused teas and tea-based beverages inspired by mocktails. They are also the only Starbucks in the country that serves beer, wine, and spirits. Oh and have we mentioned that the bakery has 30 bakers and chefs, with over 80 menu items baked daily?
If Shanghai’s Starbucks already seems overwhelming, then prepare to be more overwhelmed, as Starbucks plans to open another humongous (43,000 square-foot to be exact) Reserve Roastery in Chicago in 2019. Surely another haven for Starbucks fans!
