Zambales is one of the more popular weekend destinations for city dwellers looking to escape the concrete jungle. It boasts natural attractions in the form of beautiful beaches and scenic mountains. Entire families, barkadas, and couples could find a myriad of things to do and beautiful resorts and beach houses to stay at. The pictures probably won’t do it justice. Sundowners Zambales is a beachfront resort in Purok 5 Barangay Danacbunga, Botolan Zambales. Botolan is known for the world-famous Mount Pinatubo and Tukal Tukal falls, natural wonders you should visit if you’re in the area. The 2-hectare resort is actually the second branch of the Sundowners Vacation Villas group; the first is in Bolinao, Pangasinan.
Luxurious private beach villas
Although the sparkling ocean is amazing, Sundowners Zambales is better known for its beautiful and definitely Instagrammable beach villas. Guests can choose from 10 different villas which can accommodate from six up to 18 guests. The rooms start at P10,950 per night for six people.
For a small group of six, the 1 Bedroom beach Villa comes complete with a private toilet and bath, a complete kitchen with impressive appliances. Barkadas of up to 12 people will have fun at the 3 Bedroom Duplex Pool Villa. The two-story vacation house has its own private plunge pool, spacious balcony, marble kitchen, and cozy large bedrooms.
And finally, larger families can hold reunions with up to 18 guests at the 6 Bedroom Grand Villa. It’s equipped with seven toilets and baths, cozy balconies, a spacious living room, barbecue and grill area, a furnished kitchen, and your very own private infinity pool overlooking the beach.

Other activities you can do
There are a range of land and water activities available for guests. There’s surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and riding a Hobie Cat charged per hour. These activities start at P150. Island hopping to four different islands is possible with the lowest island visit rate at P250 per person.
Sundowners Zambales can assist you with outside resort activities in the nearby Camp Kainomayan. Go on an ATV Adventure, zipline, wall climb, paintball, and more. These start at P50 per person. You can also visit Tukal-Tukal Falls and Mt. Pinatubo, a must-do to make the most out of your Zambales trip.
