Tagged as “The Lungs of Taipei,” the 250,000-square meter Da’an Forest Park is replete with greenery and wildlife right in the heart of Taipei. Because of its accessibility from the MRT station, locals usually come here for some quality time with their family. The park has a pond, where various animals like squirrels, egrets, turtles, and ducks can be found; bicycle trails as well as a jogging loop for those who want to circle the area; an amphitheater for music performances, and of course, a playground for the kids. The huge outdoor play area invites kids with its colorful swings, seesaws, slides, and massive sand pit.
