Don’t let the pure dark sands of the beach in Real, Quezon fool you into thinking not much is happening here surfing-wise. Once surf season starts, the town of Real in Quezon Province attracts surfers from all over the country – particularly those based in Metro Manila. The beach side condition here can be compared to the ones in Baler and La Union a decade ago, where tourism development was still at a minimum level. If you are looking for surfing spots in the Philippines that is only a short drive away from Manila and has the waves of Baler and La Union – on a good day, then Real beach is your best option.
