It is no secret that Intramuros in Manila is home to some of the country’s historic gems—from churches to museums, dating back to the Spanish era. Another addition to these is the Museo de Intramuros, which sits on the former ruins of San Ignacio Church and Convent, erected in 1899. Currently, the new museum houses period collections, including an impressive collection of Philippine religious imagery acquired by the Intramuros Administration in the last 40 years. After going around the place, you can maximize your visit by exploring other museums inside the Walled City. If you’re not the DIY-type, you can book a guided bike tour through Bambike EcoTours.
