The UNESCO-listed white monuments located in the old town are stunning works of architecture and remnants of a bygone epoch. The Orthodox Church played a crucial role in shaping the country’s culture, philosophy and history. The sites included are the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius, Assumption Cathedral and Golden Gate.
