There are several Ashrams in Rishikesh, and it’s worth visiting them to take in the religious culture. There’s even a Beatles Ashram, which is where the famous band (along with other celebrities) trained in meditation! This one’s located at the eastern banks of the Ganges. You can also watch the Varanasi, intense and fervent morning rituals that take place on the ghats (steps) of the Ganges.
