Rajasthan is famous for the many forts in it, one such place to add to your itinerary is Amer Fort (or Amber Fort) near Jaipur. This towering and imposing fortress is a must-visit because of the history and culture it displays. This fort, which dates back to 1592, showcases Hindu design elements and has a series of cobbled walkways, gates and ramparts. A walk through its halls will reveal the opulence of the royal family.
