The road trip to get there is the best part.

For a city dweller, the perfect weekend consists of spending time outside the city basking in wide places and open air. This is why a three-hour road trip to Nueva Ecija for a calming staycation at one of their secluded resorts might do your stressed mind wonders. Marquez Residencia combines two of the best things when it comes to vacations: road trips and fantastic accommodation. No matter how short your time is, you’re guaranteed to enjoy your stay.
The place
Marquez Residencia is located in Christianvile, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. It’s like staying in a small, private village where you and your friends or family can freely unwind. The pyramid-shaped villas, each with a garden table and chair out front, face a swimming pool in the middle of the property. Whenever guests feel like swimming, all they have to do is walk out from their cozy accommodations and dive straight into the blue waters. On one end of the pool is a small open-air pavilion.
Marquez Residencia is a highly Instagrammable place, the layout just begs to be photographed. The private grounds and accommodations look so pretty that guests have also held intimate weddings, photoshoots, and events there.
The interior of each villa is simple: a quaint living room area, a private bath, and a cozy bedroom space. The walls, floor, and stairs are made of wood. It’s as simple as staycations can get and yet it’s quite a relaxing experience.
Check-in for an overnight stay is from 12 PM and check out is at 10 AM. Each villa can accommodate three persons for P3,000 which is inclusive of free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and use of the swimming pool. There’s an additional P500 per head for groups of more than three guests.
How to book
Send Marquez Residencia a message on Facebook for inquiries and booking or contact them through 0931 061 6209. You should reach out weeks in advance of your preferred date since they get fully booked pretty fast.
