While most parts of the world celebrate Valentine’s Day on the 14th of February, Finland sees its citizens come together for Friend’s Day or Ystävänpäivä. Yep, Valentine’s Day is not really a thing here, so y’all single Valentine’s Day haters can flock to Finland for a far more inclusive celebration. On this special day, family members, lovers, colleagues, neighbors, and, of course, friends exchange gifts, cards, or sweets as a public declaration of friendship.
