Don’t miss out on the most immersive experience in the world – Van Gogh Alive is returning to Manila at the BGC Arts Center in October. Here’s what we know so far.
Van Gogh Alive in Manila
Following the success of Wisdom of Da Vinci: An Immersive AI Experience, BGC Arts Center teases on a Facebook post the return of the world’s immersive experience, Van Gogh Alive.
There’s no need to fly to the Netherlands to visit the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, as Van Gogh Alive will let you experience the iconic artist’s masterpieces through a vibrant symphony of light, color, and sound. Foregoing traditional museum visits, the display showcases a multisensory experience, which will transport visitors into another time and space.
Just imagine finding a comfortable corner in the dark room, completely immersing yourself in Van Gogh’s world. With a partner or solo, it’s a breath-taking scene worth experiencing.
Van Gogh Alive first arrived in Manila in 2019.
What to expect
Van Gogh Alive showcases the life and work experience of Vincent Van Gogh from 1880 to 1890. Visitors will get to “travel” to Arles, Saint Rémy, and Auvers-sur-Oise, where he created his timeless masterpieces. Over 3,000 Van Gogh images are stitched at an enormous scale, covering ceilings, walls, columns, and floors to allow visitors to completely immerse themselves in his world.
Aside from the captivating light and sound display, other galleries will feature real-life recreations of his paintings, such as The Bedroom.
How do I purchase a ticket?
As of writing, there are no details regarding ticket selling yet. We’ll have to wait for updates from BGC Arts Center and Grande Experiences.
But in 2019, regular tickets cost PHP 750.
