Living out your dream travel to Korea has now become easier. On May 27, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea announced visa-free travel to two Korean destinations, Jeju and Yangyang, which will begin on June 1.

Visa-free travel to Jeju Island
After its suspension on February 4, 2020 as a measure to contain COVID-19, the visa-free entry policy to Jeju resumes on June 1. The island is open to international tourists from all countries except for 23 countries designated by the Minister of Justice.

“The Korean Embassy hopes that the visa-free entry will promote people-to-people exchanges between Korea and the Philippines via tourism,” the Embassy shared on a Facebook post.
How long can I stay in Jeju?
Filipinos can enter the island through direct flights and can stay for up to 30 days.
Visa-free travel to Yangyang
Also included in the visa-free entry policy is Yangyang International Airport, located in the province of Gangwon. This policy is only open to 4 Asian countries: the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Mongolia. However, only groups consisting of five or more people will be allowed entry.
This policy may be enjoyed by travelers from the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023 while travelers from Mongolia may begin flying in from October 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023.
How long can I stay?
Tourists are allowed to travel around Gangwon Province and Seoul Metropolitan area for up to 15 days, as announced by the Embassy.
What are the travel requirements to Yangyang International Airport?
To enjoy visa-free travel to Yangyang, you have to:
- Book a travel tour program arranged by a travel agency
- Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Fly in and out of Yangyang International Airport with the same group
- Pay the service fee and agree to be accompanied by a local staff
- Provide personal information for the tour group entry

Do I need to quarantine?
